Terhune Orchards is a family owned and operated farm with 200+ rolling acres of fruits, vegetables, vineyard, and orchards. Pam & Gary Mount bought the farm in 1975 from the Terhune family who owned the farm for two generations. Pam & Gary proudly use Integrated Pest Management methods to keep their farm produce and soils safe for all visitors.
You and your kids can safely pluck a strawberry from the ground and eat it right on the spot. In NJ, strawberry fields cannot be called "organic" because they move their fields, dig up new soil every year, and plant their new strawberry crop in a new spot each year. They use only the safest farming practices for you and the Earth.
Beautiful background story for how the Mount family came to Terhune Orchards: Pam & Gary married in 1967 and went to Micronesia together to farm with the Peace Corps for three years. "They had a wonderful experience on a small island with 400 people, teaching and helping with agricultural projects.
Coming home after traveling around the world, Pam & Gary started a five year search for a place where they could find the community they experienced in Micronesia. This was Terhune Orchards! The Mount Family invites you to visit and share in the experience."
